What is an Open Mic Night?
Open Mic Nights are opportunities for people to work on their performance skills in front of a live audience. It is an invitation to all actors, singers, musicians, songwriters, poets, comedians etc. to showcase their talents.
The goal of WeCite Entertainment’s OM-Nites is to create a community of performing artists that come together to enjoy each other on a regular basis. We encourage you to stay, make new friends, learn and get inspired. Sing a song, read a poem, practice your stand up, present your short film/documentary, or do a scene!
Performances will be video taped and archived for future promotions and web casts.
People can try their voices for the first time, can hone their skills in front of a live responsive audience, work on their presentation while waiting for their audience to build up to a level that will earn them a place on the main stage, or for the professional it’s a place to jam with their peers and try new ideas in a supportive atmosphere. For others it is a cheap night of entertainment.
Each performer is given a maximum slot of 10 minutes to perform with NO ENCORES.
Where are the OM-Nites held and how often?
Open Mic Nites will be held once every month on a Saturday evening from 7pm to 10pm at a prime and renowned coffee house in the heart of Lahore. We are currently in the process of finalizing a venue so watch this space for more on where and when we bring the show to you.
Will there be an entry fee to see this event?
Performers for the night will not be charged any entry fee.
The audience will need to pay a cover charge of Rs. 150/person with NO EXCEPTIONS! And before we hear you groan and whine about it, please bear in mind that the entry fee is solely to cover the cost of promotions, marketing, and the sound equipment we would be utilizing for the event every month. So there!
How old do I have to be to be able to perform?
Age is no limit – in either direction! However, please use common sense and don’t bring you toddler or little baby brother/sister to show off their ability to shatter glass with their screams!
Can I bring my dog to show off?
Unfortunately no! WeCite Entertainment’s OM-Nites are exclusively for Homo-sapiens for now.

OM-Nites are all about promoting talents that do not get a limelight or find it difficult to show off/polish their skills in front of a live audience.
Our profits lie in how successful we make this trend in Lahore and how well we can manage the talents of our up and coming musicians, poets, actors what have you. The ultimate goal is thus to provide a platform to all who deserve recognition for their skills. If you want to help us grow, do so by spreading the word. Tell your friends, link to us.
